Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Dr. L opens with an inviting citrus bouquet of pineapple with hints of cantaloupe and butter. The medium body is smooth, crisp, juicy, and refreshing. The acidity is lively with balance minerality. The bouquet carries through on the palate and includes flavors of pineapple, tangy tangerine and light grapefruit. I also picked up some notes of honey crisp apple and light cantaloupe in the mix. The finish is off-dry, and the flavors linger and fade away nicely. I would recommend drinking this well-priced summer crowd pleaser on its own or paired with grilled scallops. - Joe
